Sports News] Sir Alex Ferguson, the renowned former manager of Manchester
United in the Premier League, recently shared his anticipation of Ratcliffe,
the wealthiest individual in the UK, joining the management of the club. In an
interview with the media, Ferguson expressed his optimism about this potential
development. He revealed a long-standing friendship with Ratcliffe, emphasizing
his deep knowledge of Ratcliffe’s character. Ferguson believes that if
Ratcliffe assumes control of Manchester United’s operations, the club will
reach new heights. Recent reports indicate that Ratcliffe has reached an
agreement with the Glazer family, the current owners of Manchester United.
Under this agreement, Ratcliffe will acquire a 25% stake in the club and take
charge of its operational rights, while the Glazer family will not interfere
with the day-to-day management. The editor suggests that the Glazer family’s
decision to sell only a portion of their shares instead of the entire club
stems from their continued attachment to Manchester United. Selling in part
allows them to maintain a steady stream of income, as a complete sell-off would
not align with their philosophy.
