Sports News] Burnley, Leeds United, and Leicester City are set to sue Everton,
seeking £300 million in compensation, as reported by British media. The Premier
League confirmed that Everton violated the Financial Fair Play Act and deducted
10 points from their standings. Following this confirmation, the key
representatives from Burnley, Leicester City, and Leeds United held discussions
and reaffirmed their plans to appeal. Everton’s narrow qualification for the
Premier League this summer has sparked dissatisfaction among Burnley, Leicester
City, and Leeds United. Burnley have garnered support from Leeds United and
Leicester City, who have been relegated to the Championship, as they believe Everton’s
expenditures in the previous season breached Financial Fair Play regulations.
The mentioned compensation amount of £300 million is an approximate estimation
of the losses each club anticipates if they were to be relegated to the
Championship.
