[Saba Sports News] Amid the ongoing Asian Games in China, PV Sindhu, the renowned badminton star, had a meeting with VVS Laxman, the former Indian cricketer and head coach of the Team India cricket team’s second-string squad, set to begin their campaign in Hangzhou city. Following their encounter, Sindhu shared an image on her social media, subtly alluding to Laxman’s historic Test innings of 281 runs against Australia in Kolkata.
What’s noteworthy is that not only did Sindhu express her pride in meeting the legendary figure, but Australian cricketer David Warner also chimed in with a comment on her post. Interestingly, both athletes, though from different sports, hail from the same city and Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Sindhu posted this image on Sunday, October 1st, captioning it with heartfelt words about Laxman’s cricketing heroics.
David Warner, upon noticing her post, also left a comment, referring to Laxman as “the man, the legend himself.”
