[Saba Sports News] Sir Alex Ferguson’s passion for horse racing is well-known,
and he recently celebrated with friends after his horse Soul Dancer won
£500,000 in the Middle East. He had previously dabbled in horse racing during
his time at Manchester United. And his involvement in horse racing grew even
more after his retirement in 2013. In a recent light-hearted comment, Ferguson
joked about his recent horse purchases, saying, “Last week we bought two
horses, one from Ireland and one from France. We paid £450,000 for the French
horse and £200,000 for the Irish horse. That’s a lot of money. I had to write a
big check for £650,000. If my late wife knew the amount involved, she would
have gone crazy if she were still alive!” Alongside his numerous
achievements in football, Ferguson has also found success in the world of horse
racing.
