[Saba Sports News] British media reports indicate that
the Football Association (FA) has written to Mikel Arteta and Arsenal, seeking
an explanation for their comments made after the loss to Newcastle. Arteta
expressed his discontent with the referee’s decisions in the game, and Arsenal
subsequently issued a statement fully supporting Arteta’s post-match remarks.
Article E3.1 of the FA Rules states that competitors must always act in the
best interests of the competition and refrain from engaging in any
inappropriate behaviour that may bring the competition into disrepute. This
includes avoiding the use of violent, serious, threatening, abusive, indecent,
or insulting words or behaviour. If requested to provide
an explanation, the concerned parties will have three working days to respond.
Subsequently, the FA will have three working days to determine whether to press
charges, issue a formal warning, remind them of their responsibilities, or take
no further action.
