[Saba Sports News] The Daily Mail has reported that
there is a potential relocation of the Rugby Final from Old Trafford to the
Etihad. The information reveals that the British Rugby League was established
in 1998, and since then, its finals have been held at Old Trafford. However,
the contract between the league and the venue is set to expire next year. Due
to poor conditions at Old Trafford and uncertainty surrounding renovation
efforts, negotiations for a contract extension have reached an impasse. As a
result, the English Rugby Football Union has begun exploring alternative
options, with Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium being a favoured choice. It is
worth noting that in the competition for the 2028 European Championship
stadium, Old Trafford lost out to the Etihad Stadium.
