Former India cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan recently took part in a fun segment where they matched cricketers with Bollywood titles like Shahenshah, Baadshah, and Dabangg.
In a lighthearted video from the sidelines of Delhi Premier League 2024 (DPL), host Shefali Bagga interviewed Gambhir, now India’s head coach, and Dhawan, former opener. She asked them to assign Bollywood-style nicknames to cricketers.
When asked who the “Baadshah” of Indian cricket is, Dhawan picked Virat Kohli, while Gambhir went with Yuvraj Singh. For “Angry Young Man,” Gambhir amusingly chose himself, and Dhawan selected the fiery Mohammed Siraj.
As for “Dabangg,” Dhawan named Hardik Pandya, while Gambhir picked Sachin Tendulkar. On the question of the “Shahenshah,” Gambhir chose Virat Kohli, and Dhawan named Jasprit Bumrah.
Gambhir called Bumrah the “Khiladi,” while Dhawan picked Shubman Gill. Dhawan dubbed Sachin Tendulkar as “Mr. Perfectionist,” while Gambhir assigned that title to Rahul Dravid. For “Gabbar,” Gambhir humorously referred to Dhawan. Lastly, when asked who the “Tiger” of Indian cricket is, Dhawan chose Suryakumar Yadav, while Gambhir selected Sourav Ganguly.
