Six-year-old Everton fan was hit in the face by a bottle thrown from the Leicester section at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The person who threw the bottle at the conclusion of Leicester’s 4-0 loss has been identified by Merseyside and Leicestershire police, who have made an informational appeal and are collaborating with both teams. The incident upset the girl, but she was unharmed. The object is thought to have been thrown from the away section’s Lower Bullens end.
Leicester is now in third place from bottom, two points behind Wolves, after losing eight of their last nine Premier League games, with the exception of their victory at Tottenham.
