Liverpool duo on Saudi spotlight as Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal interested in forward pair of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.
Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal target Liverpool duo Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez.
Saudi Arabia is showing interest in Liverpool forward Luis Díaz, and Al-Nassr is thinking of making a move for the Colombian international.
Díaz has not yet entered into negotiations for an extension of his contract, which has two years left on it. Al-Nassr hasn’t made an approach to Liverpool yet, but Saudi Arabia has long had interest in the 28-year-old, and because Cristiano Ronaldo might leave before the Club World Cup, the team will probably be looking to add another major name.
The winger, who Arne Slot employed well in a central spot last season, is coming off a successful season with 13 goals and five assists for the Premier League winners.
Al-Hilal has been connected to Darwin Núñez, another possible target for the Saudi Pro League. Liverpool would be more willing to sell the Uruguayan striker than Díaz during what is expected to be a busy summer of spending.
In addition to being close to finalising the £30 million signing of Wirtz’s colleague Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool is still negotiating a club record deal with Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz. They are also interested in the £45 million Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez. It’s also anticipated that the champs would make a bid for another striker.
In order to have the defender for the Club World Cup, Real Madrid has resumed negotiations with Liverpool to purchase Trent Alexander-Arnold before his Anfield contract expires.
When his contract expires at the end of next month, Alexander-Arnold may sign a free transfer to Real Madrid, but the Spanish powerhouses, led by new head coach Xabi Alonso, want to include him in their plans for the expanded FIFA event that begins in the US on June 14.
