Premier League side Brentford close to agreeing a deal to sign goalkeeper Caiomhin Kelleher from Liverpool.
The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international is viewed as a substitute for Mark Flekken, the Bees’ top player, who is leaving for Bayer Leverkusen of Germany.
For the 31-year-old Dutchman, the Bundesliga team has agreed to pay around £8 million.
Valencia keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili will join the Premier League winners in July to battle for the number one shirt alongside established first choice Alisson Becker, while Kelleher still has one year left on his deal at Anfield.
Since making his Liverpool debut five years ago, Kelleher has participated in 25 Premier League games.
In addition to playing in over 40 cup matches for the team, he has won two Premier League championships, the FA Cup, the Champions League, two League Cups, and a Uefa Super Cup during his tenure at Anfield.
In May 2023, Netherlands international Flekken reportedly paid £11 million to join Brentford from Freiburg, Germany.
Over the previous two seasons, he had more clean sheets than any other goalie in the Bundesliga, and his reputation at Brentford has only grown.
Over the last two seasons, Flekken has participated in every Premier League game save two, recording 14 clean sheets and three assists.
