Walker-Peters joins West Ham on a free transfer following his departure from Southampton at the end of his contract.
After leaving Southampton, defender Kyle Walker-Peters joined West Ham on a free transfer.
With two caps for England, the 28-year-old full-back has signed a three-year deal with the Hammers.
“He is a player I’ve always thought highly of and been impressed by whenever he has faced one of my teams,” said West Ham manager Graham Potter.
“He has a really good pedigree, a top professional who has established himself as a respected Premier League player and still has his best years in front of him.”
After beginning his career at Tottenham, Walker-Peters joined on loan to Southampton in January 2020 before deciding to make the move permanent that summer.
He played 202 games for Southampton before leaving when his contract expired after the team was demoted from the Premier League the previous season.
Walker-Peters was close to joining Besiktas, owned by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the Turkish team said on Thursday that they had lost interest when Walker-Peters postponed his medical due to interest from West Ham.
