PSL set to move to an auction model for this season, thereby replacing the draft system that has been a present.
The draft system that has been used since the league’s founding will be replaced by a player auction model in the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Franchises will be able to keep up to four players under the new arrangement, with one player each category.
The Right to Match option, mentors, and brand ambassadors from previous seasons have all been eliminated.
Before the auction, newly entered clubs will be able to select and keep four players from the pool.
Additionally, each team will be permitted to sign one international player directly who did not play in the prior campaign. Each team’s player pay purse has been raised to USD 1.6 million.
The start date of PSL 11 is March 26, 2026. The list of host cities has been expanded with the addition of Faisalabad as a site for the forthcoming season.
