Aman Khan makes history for the wrong reasons in VHT game, conceding 123 runs in 10 overs against Jharkhand.
Aman Khan, the captain of Puducherry and an all-rounder, unintentionally made history when he gave up 123 runs in ten overs during a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Jharkhand. As of right now, the spell is the most costly in a men’s List-A game ever.
Jharkhand scored 368 for 7 in Ahmedabad thanks to hundreds from Kumar Kushagra and ninety-eight from Anukul Roy. Aman finished with an economy rate of 12.3, however he was one of only three Puducherry bowlers to reach his full ten-over quota. Puducherry was knocked out for 235 in 41.4 overs in response.
Mibom Mosu of Arunachal Pradesh, who gave up 116 runs in nine overs against Bihar earlier this month in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, held the previous record for most runs conceded in a men’s List A match. Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Bihar became the youngest player to achieve a century in men’s List A cricket at the age of just 14, which was another reason why that match attracted a lot of attention.
Before moving to Puducherry, Aman made his List A debut for Mumbai in 2021. The Chennai Super Kings most recently acquired him for INR 40 lakh at the IPL 2026 auction. After making his IPL debut for the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022, he played for the Delhi Capitals in the 2023 season.
