Antony completes his loan move to Real Betis, temporarily ending his disappointing stint with Manchester United.
Antony has joined La Liga side Real Betis on loan until the end of the season.
After Paul Pogba, the 24-year-old Brazilian was the second most expensive player in United’s history when he joined from Ajax in August 2022 for £81.3 million.
He has only scored once in the Premier League since April 2023, despite having 12 goals in 96 games for United.
According to United sources, the agreement will pay at least 84% of Antony’s income, or more than £100,000 a week.
He remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2027.
With three goals in his first three league games, Antony got off to a strong start under former United manager Erik ten Hag, who was also his former Ajax boss.
However, Antony has struggled for first-team appearances after not living up to his transfer value, and he has only appeared in 13 of United’s 33 games in all competitions this season.
“Everybody at United would like to wish Antony the best of luck for his spell in Seville,” said the Old Trafford club.
