Ash Gardner in top 3 of ICC rankings in all disciplines, cementing herself as the top all-rounder in the women’s game.
Ash Gardner ranked in top three among ODI batters, bowlers and allrounders.
Ashleigh Gardner’s dominant performance in the 2025 Women’s World Cup has elevated her to a level rarely, if ever, reached by any all-rounder in the sport’s history, regardless of gender or format. According to the most recent ICC rankings, she is one of the top three batters, bowlers, and all-rounders in women’s ODIs.
With 265 runs at an average of 88.33 and a strike rate of 128.01, as well as seven wickets with her offspin at 30.00, Gardner has been a major contributor to Australia’s undefeated run in the tournament thus far. She has received two hundred dollars from four visits to the crease, both of which occurred during stressful circumstances.
Australia was 113 for 4 when she entered the match against New Zealand, but that quickly changed to 128 for 5. She led them to a total of 326 by smashing 115 off 83 balls.
Gardner then came in with Australia 86 for 4 in a pursuit of 245 against England. She put on an uninterrupted 180 with Annabel Sutherland to secure victory with a staggering 57 balls remaining after scoring an undefeated 104 off just 73 balls.
In the most recent edition of the ICC’s ODI rankings, Gardner has risen six spots, from No. 8 to No. 2, with only Smriti Mandhana of India ranked higher. In the meantime, Gardner has maintained her position as the top all-round player and the third bowler.
