Team India is gearing up for a multi-format series against Bangladesh, starting with a two-match Test series. The first Test will take place on September 19 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Ahead of the match, Ravichandran Ashwin’s wife, Prithi, shared a message on Instagram, writing, “Chennai, Test matches feelings are coming. Right?”
India faces a packed schedule, with 10 Tests lined up in the next four months. Ashwin, who last played for India in March 2024, was the leading wicket-taker in the Test series against England, claiming 26 wickets.
Bangladesh, currently fourth in the World Test Championship (WTC) standings, recently defeated Pakistan in a two-match Test series and will aim for another strong performance. Meanwhile, India sits atop the WTC standings and looks to continue their dominance as they push for a spot in the 2025 final.
