Bangladesh women tour of India in December postponed.
Bangladesh has “postponed” their December tour of India, where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is.
A BCB representative told on Tuesday that the board has received a letter from the BCCI stating that the white-ball series will be rescheduled.
Although a precise explanation for the delay has not been provided, it is believed that the ongoing political unrest between Bangladesh and India played a significant role.
As part of the ICC’s upcoming tour schedule, the series was supposed to be India’s final series prior to the commencement of the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) and the only series between the WPL and their successful ODI World Cup campaign. The ODIs were scheduled to begin the new cycle of the Women’s ODI Championship for both teams, and the matches were scheduled to take place in Kolkata and Cuttack.
The men’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh by India was rescheduled earlier this year from August 2025 to September 2026.
“This decision has been reached following discussions between the two boards, taking into account the international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience of both teams,” the BCCI had said in a statement at the time. “The BCB looks forward to welcoming India in September 2026 for this eagerly anticipated series. Revised dates and fixtures for the tour will be announced in due course.”
