
BCB looking to host South Africa in October for two tests that will be held in Dhaka and Chattogram respectively.
BCB officials said on Friday that they are hopeful the series will commence as per schedule. This despite the fact that doubts were raised due to the political situation in the country. This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship,
Before deciding on their upcoming tour, Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the South African Cricketers Association (SACA) are anticipated to have a meeting. It is acknowledged that there are no security issues with the tour, nevertheless. The fact that Bangladesh has not been advised against going by the South African authorities is another element that could encourage the series to happen.
The visitors are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on October 16th, as per the preliminary itinerary that BCB has established for the series.
The first Test between South Africa and Bangladesh will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on October 21. The second Test, which will decide the series, will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on October 29. On November 3, the tourists will depart.

The New Zealand A team’s tour to Bangladesh was also rescheduled, while the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was recently moved from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates due to political unrest.
