Bompastor on her Chelsea side’s potential quadruple dream saying that ‘they have not won anything’ as of yet.
Bompastor says she is not thinking about winning a quadruple this season, but reaching the Women’s League Cup final is a “first step”.
With a 2-0 victory over West Ham at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday, the Blues advanced to their first extravaganza of the season and extended their winning streak to 22 games.
Since replacing Emma Hayes in May, Bompastor has won every game, and her squad is still vying for all four titles.
“The reality is we didn’t win anything yet,” she said.
“If you get to the final, but you don’t win, it doesn’t mean anything.”
In addition to playing Everton on Sunday for a spot in the FA Cup’s round of eight, Chelsea leads the Women’s Super League by seven points and is vying for a sixth consecutive championship.
Additionally, they are in the Women’s Champions League quarterfinals, which is the one prize the team has never taken home.
With the arrival of world record USA defender Naomi Girma and the lure of England midfielder Keira Walsh from Barcelona, Chelsea has further bolstered their roster during the January transfer window.
However, Chelsea captain Millie Bright stated that Bompastor’s strategy has aided the team’s ambitious goal of winning every trophy this season.
“Every trophy we want, we want to lift them all,” Bright told BBC Radio 5 Live on Wednesday.
“That was something that really stood out from when Sonia first came in. She’s not afraid to say she wants every trophy and she wants everything we compete for.
“We want to win and I really like that. Putting it out there, there’s nothing wrong with that and it sets the tone really high.”
“The focus is making sure we go deep in every competition, as deep as we can,” added Bompastor.
“But also game by game, we just have a focus in the next game and how we can make sure we have big chances to win.”
