Brentford open to listen offers for star duo in the summer given their reputation as a selling club in the market.
Brentford open to to offers for Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa this summer.
Although Thomas Frank wants to keep both attackers at the Gtech Community Stadium, he claims Brentford is “open” to bids for Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa this summer.
With his first-half goal in the 1-1 draw at Wolves, Mbeumo became the second Bees player, after Ivan Toney, to score 20 goals in a Premier League season.
He and Wissa both have one more year remaining on their existing contracts, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
“That gives us a little bit of an advantage,” boss Frank told BBC Match of the Day. “We’ll decide for ourselves if we want to sell them or not.
“But I’ve said many times before that we’re a selling club. If the right bid comes in, we’re open. Of course I’d like to keep them.”
Since even finishing eighth would not be sufficient, Brentford finished the season in tenth position, missing out on the opportunity to play European football for the first time.
At Molineux, they seized the lead in the 20th minute when Rayan Ait-Nouri lost control deep in his own half and Christian Norgaard found Mbeumo for a straightforward finish.
However, Vitor Pereira’s team, who finished in 16th position, managed to salvage a point thanks to Marshall Munetsi’s incredible first-time goal following Jorgen Strand Larsen’s header.
