[Saba Sports News] Manchester United’s Old Trafford
Stadium is renowned worldwide as the “Theatre of Dreams.” However,
the stadium has been grappling with significant roof leakage issues due to
years of neglect. The “Daily Mail” recently reported that Manchester
United held a staff meeting where the club’s general manager, Collette Roche,
expressed frustrations over the challenges faced in repairing the Old Trafford
roof. The stand known as the “Sir Charlton Stand” is situated near a
railway line, making it extremely difficult to utilise cranes for construction
work. This necessitates coordination among multiple departments. Furthermore,
conducting repairs during the season would impact attendance and game day
revenue. Consequently, the maintenance plan has been indefinitely postponed.
