Chelsea and Everton at loggerheads over Armando Broja loan termination as former ask for total loan cost to be paid before return.
Chelsea and Everton are facing complications to to cut short Armando Broja’s loan with Chelsea wanting compensation to take the striker back.
After Broja was sidelined for 10 to 12 weeks due to ankle ligament damage, Everton’s new manager, David Moyes, stated his team was considering ending his season-long loan.
Everton wants to make room for another temporary move before the market closes on February 3rd, as they have already used up all four of their loan acquisitions this season and their January budget is constrained by sustainability and profitability regulations.
After missing a planned move to Ipswich due to an achilles injury, the 23-year-old signed with Everton last summer. Chelsea reportedly agreed to pay the Albanian player’s salary while he was sidelined due to an Achilles injury.
On December 4, Broja made his debut for Everton as a substitute in the team’s 4-0 victory over Wolves. He had previously started twice before suffering an ankle injury in the FA Cup third-round loss to Peterborough on his sixth appearance. Chelsea wants Everton to cover the remaining loan balance before ending the agreement because that has nothing to do with the Achilles problem.
Everton has been given the chance to acquire Willian, a former Chelsea, Arsenal, and Fulham midfielder. Everton lost 1-0 to Aston Villa in Moyes’s first game back in charge on Wednesday. The 36-year-old is eager to return to the Premier League and is a free agent after amicably ending a season-long contract with Olympiakos last month. Agents for the former Brazil international have made the offer, and Everton has not yet decided whether to accept it. Willian’s stint in Greece was plagued by injury issues.
