In a heartwarming moment during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Trinbago Knight Riders’ all-rounders Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell shared a viral exchange on the sidelines.
In a clip shared by the official Trinbago Knight Riders account, Bravo is seen gifting his golden boots to Russell.
Russell tried on the boots and even batted in the nets with them, commenting on how comfortable they felt.
Bravo remarked, “Ladies and gentlemen, from one all-rounder to the next. I am handing over my boots to the general.” The team captioned the post, “Golden boots, from one all-rounder to another!” Russell also mentioned he planned to bowl with the boots as well. The video quickly spread across social media.
Trinbago Knight Riders currently sit in third place in the CPL 2024 standings, with two wins and one loss from three matches.
In their recent game against St. Lucia Kings, they secured a four-wicket victory, chasing down 187 runs thanks to a half-century from skipper Kieron Pollard. Their next match is against Barbados Royals on September 14 at the Kensington Oval.
