Everton and Chelsea agree a fee for Keirnan Drewsbury-Hall n a deal worth around £28m for the wantaway midfielder.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a midfielder for Chelsea, has agreed to join Everton in a move estimated to be worth £28 million.
Despite Fulham’s late interest, the 26-year-old will now settle personal terms and have a medical. The basic sum for the player is £24 million, with an additional £3–4 million required in add-ons.
At first, Dewsbury-Hall had been hesitant to leave Stamford Bridge after a season in which he played a supporting role as the team qualified for the Champions League, won the Fifa Club World Cup, and won the Uefa Conference League.
But as they try to recover the majority of the £30 million they spent to acquire the midfield player from Leicester City in 2024, when he reunited with Enzo Maresca, who also left the Foxes to manage Chelsea, the Blues were willing to let him go.
Everton and Southampton have also been negotiating for winger Tyler Dibling, but if the 19-year-old’s valuation doesn’t decrease after a second proposal was turned down, Everton may decide to walk away.
“I think there’ll be deals next week,” manager David Moyes stated during his last press conference at the Premier League Summer Series. Although I also felt that way four or five weeks ago, I believe that we are coming lot closer now.
“Obviously, we’re getting near the tickly bits and we’ve got to get some things done.”
Chelsea is contemplating several sales this week after acquiring Dutch defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax on Sunday.
Lesley Ugochukwu, a 21-year-old French midfielder, has decided to join Burnley, who are also in advanced negotiations with their 23-year-old Albanian attacker Armando Broja.
In an effort to reduce their roster, Borussia Dortmund has also resumed talks with midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.
