Former Pak coach Grant Bradburn fired by Glamorgan over allegations of misconduct just months after being appointed.
Former Pak coach Grant Bradburn has been fired as Glamorgan’s head coach with immediate effect, following a recent charge of misconduct by the independent Cricket Regulator.
Grant Bradburn was recently accused of misconduct by the independent Cricket Regulator, which led to his immediate dismissal as Glamorgan’s head coach.
Glamorgan have a “zero-tolerance policy towards discriminatory behaviour of any kind”, the club added.
Glamorgan stated it was evident from their own internal inquiry that Bradburn’s position was untenable and that the club is now offering the right kind of support to individuals impacted.
“At Glamorgan we put the well-being of our people first and are providing support for those affected,” Mark Rhydderch-Roberts, the club chair, said.
“We’re incredibly proud of our track record in terms of making sure everyone who is involved with the club feel they are respected, belong and are treated fairly.”
Bradburn had been Glamorgan’s manager for just one season, during which he managed the team’s triumph in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup in a September rain-shortened final at Trent Bridge. Additionally, the team placed sixth in the T20 Blast South Group and the second division of the County Championship.
After a brief stint as head coach of the Pakistan men’s team, he signed a three-year contract with Glamorgan in January. Prior to taking over as head of high-performance coaching in 2020, he had started off with the PCB in 2018 as an assistant coach.
