Four Punjab Players to link up with the side today, with all the players immediately available for selection.
Four Punjab Players available for selection right away, starting with PBKS’ next game against DC on Saturday.
The Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) overseas quartet of Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie and Kyle Jamieson are arriving in India and joining the team today.
Even though PBKS has had a great season thus far thanks to their top-order and bowlers, Stoinis and Inglis have had little time with the squad this season as they rotate their foreign players in an attempt to establish a reliable middle order. Inglis has struck 92 runs at a strike rate of 139.39 in six innings, while Stoinis has amassed 82 runs at a strike rate of 167.34 in seven innings.
Hardie, a Western Australian seam-bowling all-rounder who was selected for INR 1.25 crore at the auction, has not yet made an appearance this season. Jamieson has yet to appear for PBKS despite replacing his injured countryman Lockie Ferguson earlier in the season. However, after Marco Jansen departs for the World Test Championship (WTC) final at the conclusion of the league stage, at least one of them might play a significant part in the playoffs.
Mitch Owen, Xavier Bartlett, and Azmatullah Omarzai are the other foreign players in the PBKS team. On Monday, May 26, PBKS will play their last league stage match against the Mumbai Indians following their match against DC on Saturday.
