Heated clash in unoffical test between Bangladesh and SA as Ntuli and Mondol clash in heated scuffle yesterday.
Heated clash between Ntuli and Mondol mars emerging test between Bangladesh and South Africa.
During a four-day encounter between the South Africa Emerging Team and the Bangladesh Emerging Team in Dhaka on Wednesday, Tshepo Ntuli and Ripon Mondol got into a fight. However, because the protocol requires the on-field umpires to submit an official report before any fines can be declared, the match officials have not yet taken any immediate action.
Ripon hit Ntuli for a straight six, which triggered the incident. Ripon seemed to look at Ntuli as he approached his batting partner Mehidy Hasan, and the latter rushed towards him.
Prior to Ntuli removing Ripon’s helmet, the two players assaulted one another. Before the umpire could separate them, Ntuli pulled at the helmet once more in response to Umpire Kamruzzaman’s attempt to step in. Looking South Africa Ntuli was not deterred by new players, and a few of them even seemed to rush at Ripon, who had taken off his helmet by that point. The TV pundits reacted sharply to the altercation.
“This is intolerable and extreme. A scuffle is uncommon on a cricket pitch; instead, we typically witness verbal altercations. At one time, Nabil Kaiser, one of the on-air analysts, stated, “Ntuli hit Ripon’s helmet.”
Given that this is the last game of the tour, the BCB and CSA are anticipated to take action after receiving reports of the event from the match referee.
During the first day of the tour in Rajshahi, tensions had already risen between the two sides. Both Jishan Alam and Andile Simelane missed the third game since they were suspended for their roles in the second one-day match.
This four-day match is the South Africa Emerging team’s second and last match of the trip. The first four-day match in Chattogram resulted in a draw, and they lost the one-day series 2-1.
