Because of the tense relations between India and Pakistan and the fact that India will be playing their 2025 Champions Trophy matches in Dubai rather than in Pakistan, the host nation, it became necessary for Pakistan’s World Cup matches to be held at a neutral location. The PCB, in turn, said Pakistan would not travel to India for tournaments in the foreseeable future.
