India Women’s ace batter, Jemimah Rodrigues, recently took to Instagram to express her disappointment at failing to secure tickets for Coldplay’s concert at DY Patil Stadium in January 2025.
Known for her love of both cricket and music, Jemimah often shares her musical side with fans on social media. In her six-slide post, she included a nighttime photo from the Courtyard by Marriot, overlooking the stadium, and a screenshot showing a massive waiting list for tickets.
Her caption, “Jiss din DY Patil mein enter karne ke liye ticket chahiye tha, usi din nahi mila yaar” (The day I needed a ticket to enter DY Patil, I couldn’t get one), humorously conveyed her frustration. The post also included playful images of sad fictional animals to reflect her mood.
On the cricketing front, Rodrigues is preparing for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, though her debut season in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League wasn’t one to remember, scoring just 105 runs in five innings for Trinbago Knight Riders.
With warm-up matches against West Indies Women and South Africa Women approaching on September 29 and October 1, she will look to fine-tune her form ahead of the marquee event in the UAE.
While she missed out on the concert, Jemimah will be eager not to disappoint her fans during the upcoming T20 World Cup.
