[Saba Sports News] The Los Angeles Lakers were evacuated from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on Friday, following reports of gunfire near the arena’s ticket office.
The incident, which occurred around noon before a game against the Portland Trail Blazers, began with an altercation between a man and a woman inside a porta potty.
After the shots were fired, the man barricaded himself inside the porta potty, while the uninjured woman fled. Police successfully negotiated with the man, leading to his surrender and arrest. The identity of the woman involved remains unknown.
Despite the unsettling event, the game proceeded as planned, with the Lakers securing a 107-95 win.
