
Lynford Inverary to assume CWI CEO post on interim basis, replacing the former CEO Johnny Grave who stepped down recently.
Lynford Inverary is CWI’s new chief operating officer (COO) and will additionally act as chief executive officer (CEO).
On September 28, in Port-of-Spain, the board of directors reached the decision. On October 1st, Inverary will take on the role of COO, and on November 1st, he will assume the post of acting CEO. He will take over Johnny Grave’s post when it becomes available.
Grave assumed the position in February 2017 and has been CWI’s CEO for almost eight years. Under his leadership, the West Indies played in three World Cups. The 2018 women’s T20 World Cup, the 2022 Under-19 World Cup. And the 2024 men’s T20 World Cup, which was co-hosted by the United States of America. Additionally, he served as the CEO of the T20 World Cup in June of this year.
Born in Guyana, Inverary is an Antiguan with over decade of experience at the CWI in a variety of jobs. This covers the roles of acting corporate secretary and manager of business planning.
