The Malaysia T10 Bash 2025 roared to life on July 25 at the Johor Cricket Academy Oval, delivering high-octane cricket as eight teams began their campaigns in the fast-paced, short-format tournament. The event, which runs until July 28, features a total of 15 matches—including group stage fixtures, two semi-finals, and the grand final.
The teams have been divided into two groups of four. Group A comprises Utkal Cricket Club, KL Gladiators, Fatemi Resources Cricket Club, and Maxx Cricket Club. Group B features MR KB Putrajaya CC, JB Kings, Sky Warriors Cricket, and MB Malik. Each team plays three league matches within their group, with the top two advancing to the semi-finals.
Day 1 saw four explosive encounters, starting with Fatemi Resources Cricket Club (FRCC) dominating Utkal Cricket Club. Batting first, Utkal posted 77/7 in 10 overs. In response, FRCC chased the target in just 7 overs, finishing at 79/3, showcasing their batting depth and intent from the get-go.
In the second match, MR KB Putrajaya CC went head-to-head with JB Kings. Chasing a challenging total of 97, MR KB Putrajaya responded with a confident 99/4 in just 7.3 overs, securing a six-wicket victory and taking early control of Group B.
Maxx Cricket Club then squared off against KL Gladiators in Match 3. KL managed only 61/6 in their innings, which Maxx comfortably chased down in under six overs. Their bowlers kept things tight, and the batters made light work of the small total, marking them as serious contenders.
The final game of the day between Sky Warriors and MB Malik had to be abandoned due to rain after Sky Warriors had posted 119/2 in 8.5 overs. It was an unfortunate end to the day’s action, as fans were eager to see how MB Malik would respond in the chase.
With these results, Group A sees Fatemi Resources and Maxx Cricket Club off to strong starts. In Group B, MR KB Putrajaya have asserted early dominance, while JB Kings and Sky Warriors will be looking to bounce back in the next round. MB Malik’s campaign remains in question due to the rain-affected result.
The action continues on July 26 with more key matchups that could determine early semi-final qualifications. Teams like FRCC and MR KB Putrajaya will look to build momentum, while others must regroup quickly in this rapid-fire format.
All matches are played at the same venue, ensuring consistent conditions. The tournament format is simple and engaging—just 10 overs per side, offering a quick and thrilling brand of cricket.
As Malaysia’s premier T10 event, the Bash is more than just cricket—it’s a showcase of emerging talent, power-hitting, and tactical flair. With four more days of action remaining, fans can expect more fireworks as teams race toward the final on July 28.
