Manchester United make improved Bryan Mbeumo bid with £70m package.
Manchester United’s bid for Bryan Mbeumo, a forward for Brentford, has increased. With £65 million guaranteed and the remaining add-ons, the offer has a maximum value of £70 million.
Mbeumo has told Brentford that he wants to join United, and Ruben Amorim is keen to sign him, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reluctant to overpay. The London team has rejected at least one United bid for Mbeumo, and they are asking for almost £70 million for a midfielder who scored 20 Premier League goals the previous season.
After Paraguayan full-back Diego León and Brazilian attacker Matheus Cunha, United hopes to add Mbeumo as their third summer acquisition. In order to give the Cameroon international as much time as possible to adjust, Amorim wants Mbeumo to be a member of the team that flies to the United States for a tour the following week.
As they look for a central forward, United is also interested in Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia are the five players that will not be travelling with the team since they wish to depart and do not participate in team training. In order to generate money for their summer transfer business, United plans to sell them.
