[Saba Sports News] In late October, Manchester United
released their financial report for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, revealing a loss
of £42.1 million. They have made the decision to significantly reduce staff
overtime hours at Old Trafford Stadium, the Manchester United training ground,
and the youth training facilities as part of cost-saving measures.
Additionally, a number of long-time employees have been asked to sign new
contracts. The Daily Mail estimates that this reduction is equivalent to
cutting the wages of some lower-income employees in half. The data indicates
that the majority of Manchester United employees earn between £20,000 and
£30,000 per year, and by increasing overtime hours, they could potentially earn
up to £15,000 more annually.
