Mandeep Singh leaves Tripura ahead of 2025-26 domestic season.
“Thank you Tripura CA for giving me the opportunity to play last season, I enjoyed my time there,” Mandeep wrote in an Instagram post. “Made some wonderful memories on and off the field. Wishing the team success for the upcoming season. Looking forward to the next chapter.”
During the 2024–25 season, Mandeep captained Tripura in all formats and participated in six Ranji Trophy games, six Vijay Hazare Trophy games, and seven Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy games.
Mandeep displayed strong form, but Tripura was unable to get past the group stages in any of the competitions.
He reached fifty runs in every game he played last season, scoring an undefeated 124 and making five half-centuries in the Ranji Trophy. He struck two half-centuries in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20s and three fifties in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, including a high of 94 against Bengal.
After leading Punjab to the Syed Mushtaq Ali title in his final season there, which ended a 30-year trophy drought, Mandeep had moved to Tripura after 15 years with Punjab.
The squad he will play for in the upcoming season has not yet been confirmed.
