[Saba Sports News] Two years after his departure from
Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer granted an exclusive interview to
sports news website TA, where he revealed some behind-the-scenes stories of his
time at the club. During the interview, it was disclosed that there were
players at Manchester United who declined the opportunity to become captain.
Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba were among those who turned down the role.
Solskjaer expressed his disappointment regarding this matter. Some media
sources suggested that Pogba’s refusal stemmed from his desire to leave
Manchester United, while Rashford declined due to his belief that he was not
yet qualified for the position. Consequently, Solskjaer had no choice but to
appoint Harry Maguire as the captain.
