Azzuhasni Awang: Bicycle
Mohammad Azzu. Mohammad Azizul Hasni bin Awang (born 5 January 1988) is a Malaysian cyclist. He was the country’s first cyclist to win a medal at the World Cycling Championships. He was selected as Malaysia’s flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He was also Malaysia’s Best athlete in 2009 and 2010.
Azzu’s highest career honors were silver MEDALS in the 2009 World Men’s Sprint and 2010 World Men’s Race respectively. He also qualified for the men’s track cycling final at the 2012 London Olympics, where he finished sixth. He is the second Malaysian to successfully enter the final of the competition after Ng Anlin.
He was involved in a horrific car accident at the Manchester leg of the 2011 World Cup Series and badly injured his calf, but he managed to finish third despite his injuries.
