[Saba Sports News] The 11th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will see the battle between New Zealand and Bangladesh.
The two teams will take the centrestage on October 13 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Enjoying their stay at the top of the points table, New Zealand are a force to reckon with. They have been firing on all cylinders, gaining two back-to-back convincing wins in the ongoing tournament.
In their last game, the Kiwis got better of the Netherlands, putting them down on the mat with both bat and ball as the match culminated in a 99-run win for Tom Latham and Co.
Kane Williamson, who is set to make a comeback tomorrow, will add to the strength of the Black Caps, bringing in a prowess of his own both batting and captaincy-wise.
As for Bangladesh, they started the competition on a high, steamrolling Afghanistan. However, they dealt with a reallity check as England blew them from top to bottom, handing them a 137-run hammering.
Although, it seems like a fight between the unequals with New Zealand obviously looking far more stronger on paper. But mind you, the fixture will be played at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, which has enough help on offer for the spinners.
If Bangladesh finds a way to get their batting click, they have the tools to tie down New Zealand with their bowling on the Chennai pitch, which already is a spinners paradise.
That being said, New Zealand are still a sure-shot favourites to extend their winning-streak.
