Newcastle boss Howe wants to keep Isak at the club at any cost after striker’s hat-trick against Ipswich Town.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has called Alexander Isak a “”world-class talent” after his hat-trick against Ipswich.
Alexander Isak, a striker for Newcastle United, has finally achieved a Premier League hat-trick, but it may have taken longer than he would have liked or his management had anticipated.
With 10 Premier League goals so far this season. The 25-year-old is just three goals behind top scorers Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.
With the January transfer window about to open. Howe has made it clear that he wants Isak to stay with the team.
Since Isak joined Newcastle for a club record £63 million from Real Sociedad in August 2022. He has scored 41 Premier League goals in 67 games, and this is his first game ball.
“It’s been a long time coming for Newcastle, my first one here,” he said.
“I’m buzzing. Scoring goals will give confidence and help me and the team. It doesn’t matter if it’s one, two or three.”
After Freddie Ljungberg’s 2003 Premier League hat-trick for Arsenal against Sunderland, Isak became the second Swedish player to do so.
Additionally, since Ayoze Perez’s three against Southampton in 2019, it was the first treble by a Newcastle player in the league.
Isak scored his first goal in just 26 seconds after Jacob Murphy’s cross from the right was not cleared, rewarding Newcastle supporters who had travelled the long way from the northeast to Suffolk.
Just before halftime, Isak was given his personal second and Newcastle’s third goals after Murphy added a second. Isak had the easy chore of scoring when Ipswich custodian Arijanet Muric attempted a pass to Jens Cajuste, who was then taken by Bruno Guimaraes.
After another Murphy assist, he produced a fantastic finish at the near post. Ensuring he didn’t have to wait long for his hat-trick moment.
