After taking ten wickets in the opening Test match against South Africa in Lahore, including a six-for in the first innings, Pakistani left-arm spinner Noman Ali shot up four spots to No. 2 in the ICC Men’s Test bowling rankings. Additionally, his 853 rating points mark a career high for the spinner.
After taking just two wickets in Lahore, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, who had previously held that second spot, dropped three spots to fifth place.
After being excluded from the South Africa XI in Lahore, all-rounder Marco Jansen also witnessed a decline in his ranking, falling out of the top 10.
After helping Pakistan secure a 93-run victory with his second-inning 4 for 33, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi rose three spots to 19th place.
