Pant to lead Delhi, Kohli in for 2 games in Vijay Hazare squad with Ishant Sharma, Navdeep Saini and Rana also included.
The captain of Delhi’s team for the forthcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on December 24, is Rishabh Pant. As previously reported, Virat Kohli has also been included in the 20-man roster for the first two matches.
Seamers Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini have already confirmed their availability, and Harshit Rana will join the team when he is free, according to a statement from the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA). Rana was part of India’s T20I squad for the series against South Africa that will end on Friday.
From December 24 to January 8, Delhi will play seven games in Group D. India will play three ODIs beginning on January 11 in Vadodara, therefore it is unclear if Pant and Kohli will be ready for every match. The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will host Delhi’s first two matches, which are against Andhra and Gujarat.
Tejasvi Dahiya is Delhi’s second wicketkeeper after Pant, while Ayush Badoni has been selected vice-captain. In the event that Pant is not available, Anuj Rawat has been designated as a backup wicketkeeper.
Yash Dhull, Priyansh Arya, Arpit Rana, Nitish Rana, Sarthak Ranjan, Divij Mehra, and Ayush Doseja are the team’s other batters.
