Paratici makes return to Spurs as joint sporting director following a 30-month ban for for alleged false accounting at Juventus.
Fabio Paratici will return to Tottenham on a full-time basis as part of a new leadership team for their men’s football program.
After losing an appeal in Italy against a 30-month suspension from the game for his involvement in alleged false accounting at his former club, Juventus, Paratici resigned as managing director of football for Spurs in April 2023.
Johan Lange, who was promoted from his position as technical director, will work alongside him as the joint sporting director. The two will collaborate closely with Thomas Frank, the head coach, and Vinai Venkatesham, the CEO.
“I have been working with Johan, Vinai and Thomas as a consultant for a number of months and I now look forward to returning to London and joining the team full-time,” Paratici told the club’s website. “I’m convinced that working in partnership with Johan we can build a special future for the club and our supporters.”
Venkatesham talked up the appointments, saying: “By uniting two exceptional leaders in Johan and Fabio, we’re setting the foundations for sustained success.” The club said they would next recruit a director of football operations.
