[Saba Sports News] The F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
concluded successfully, but it was not without some controversy. While Red Bull
Racing’s Max Verstappen celebrated his championship win, his teammate Sergio
Perez faced consequences for his behavior. During the race, Perez was involved
in a collision with McLaren Racing driver Lando Norris. Following the incident,
Perez expressed his frustration over the team radio, referring to the referee
as a “joke” and stating that they didn’t understand racing. The
comments made by Perez caught the attention of the FIA (Federation
Internationale de l’Automobile). The FIA released a statement noting that while
they welcomed differing opinions on their decisions, comments that constituted
personal insults violated the International Code of Sport. As a result, Perez
received a warning as punishment for his remarks.
