
Rashid Khan jumps to top spot in ODI bowlers’ rankings as Kuldeep Yadav achieved his career-best ranking in Tests.
Rashid Khan, a legspinner for Afghanistan, is now the top-ranked bowler in ODIs after his team swept Bangladesh 3-0 in Abu Dhabi last month.
Rashid, who was ranked first in November 2024, claimed 11 wickets during the series with an economy rate of 2.73 and an average of 6.09. He moved up from sixth place thanks to his performance, and now has 710 rating points, 30 more than South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj.
The highest-scoring batsman in Afghanistan history, Ibrahim Zadran, rose eight spots to No. 2 in the ODI batting rankings after winning Player of the Series against Bangladesh for making 213 runs at an average of 71 in three innings.
After collecting seven wickets, the second-most in the series, and scoring 60 runs in the three ODIs against Bangladesh, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai recaptured the top spot in the ODI rankings for all-rounders from Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe. He had also held the top spot from February to August.
Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm wristspinner for India, finished the two-match series against the West Indies as the leading wicket-taker, achieving his career-best rating among Test bowlers and moving up seven spots to 14th. Kuldeep averaged 19.50 while taking 12 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal, the opener for India, scored 175 in the first innings of the Delhi Test, moving him up from seventh to fifth place.
