[Saba Sports News] Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has announced Luke Williams as the head coach for the 2024 Women’s Premier League season, replacing Ben Sawyer, who coached the women’s team in the inaugural edition.
Williams brings a decorated coaching background, having led Adelaide Strikers to victory in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) in 2022 and serving as the assistant coach of Southern Brave, winners of the Women’s Hundred 2023. He expressed excitement about working with RCB and their talented player roster.
Prathmesh Mishra, Chief Commercial Officer of Diageo India and Chairman of RCB, expressed gratitude to former head coach Ben Sawyer and welcomed Williams to guide the RCB women’s team to success. Rajesh V Menon, Vice President & Head of RCB, also extended a warm welcome to Williams, recognizing his contributions to champion sides worldwide.
