[Saba Sports News] In a recent English League 1 match
between Reading and Burton, a surprising incident took place. Reading fans
launched a protest by throwing hundreds of tennis balls onto the pitch. Their
protest was aimed at the club’s owners who have been unwilling to sell the
team, despite it being on the brink of dissolution. It has been reported that
the Chinese-owned club is facing financial difficulties since their relegation
to League One, leading to penalties for salary arrears. However, the owner, Dai
Yongge, has been unsuccessful in finding a new buyer. Additionally, Reading’s
performance this season has been disappointing, with three wins, one draw, and
five losses in their first nine games, placing them 20th in the league
standings.
