Team India batter Rinku Singh recently got a new tattoo ahead of the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh.
The tattoo, inked on his left hand, features the message “God’s plan,” a phrase that holds special significance for Rinku. He first used it after his remarkable performance in IPL 2024, where his heroic efforts led his team to victory. The phrase has since become a personal mantra for Rinku, symbolizing his belief in fate and perseverance.
The same phrase was also used by Rinku to commend teammate Yash Dayal, who played a crucial role in helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru secure a playoff spot by defeating Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024.
Additionally, Suryakumar Yadav, another star of Indian cricket, playfully teased Rinku about the tattoo, highlighting how well-known the phrase has become within the team. Rinku shared a picture of his new ink on Instagram, much to the delight of his fans, who see it as a reflection of his resilience and determination.
Rinku’s last appearance for Team India came during the T20I series against Sri Lanka, where he struggled to make a significant impact. Despite that, he remains one of India’s most promising talents, having played 23 T20Is, amassing 413 runs with a stellar average of 59.71.
His consistency in domestic cricket and the IPL has earned him a reputation as a dependable batter, and fans are hopeful that he will regain form in the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
As for Team India’s current campaign, they are in the midst of a Test series against Bangladesh. The first Test, held at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai starting on September 19, saw India claim a dominant win. After posting 339 runs in the first innings, India bowled out Bangladesh for just 149. India continued their dominance in the second innings, adding 287 runs to set Bangladesh a massive target of 515. Bangladesh could only manage 234 in response, and India secured a comprehensive 280-run victory.
With the first Test win under their belt, India will now shift focus to the second Test, set to take place at Green Park, Kanpur, from September 27. India will aim to clinch the series, while Bangladesh will be hoping to bounce back and level the score. Following the Test series, the two teams will face off in a three-match T20I series, scheduled for October 6, 9, and 12, where Rinku Singh will be eager to make his mark once again and prove his worth on the international stage.
