India quickly got to work in response, with openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (72) and Rohit Sharma (23) providing a strong start. Shubman Gill contributed 39 runs, while Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were involved in a viral moment.
Kohli attempted a single after driving Khaled Ahmed’s ball, but a mix-up left him stranded mid-pitch. Luckily for Kohli, Ahmed missed the stumps, giving him a lifeline.
Shortly after, Pant was dismissed for 9 runs off 11 balls. Kohli went on to score 47 from 35 deliveries, but his innings ended when he missed a shot attempting a six off Shakib Al Hasan.
