Saka ruled out of England’s game vs Andorra as he has completed just one full training session during the week.
Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka ruled out of the England squad that will face Andorra.
Conor Gallagher, a midfielder for Atletico Madrid, and Ollie Watkins, a striker for Aston Villa, were also left off the matchday squad. Watkins returned home with a slight injury.
Saka had only finished one full training session throughout the week, according to head coach Thomas Tuchel, who said in a statement on Friday that his exclusion from the squad to play Andorra was probably due to his fitness.
The 23-year-old Saka has not yet played under Tuchel after being injured and missing the German’s first training.
Saka has 43 caps for the Three Lions, but it is unclear if he will participate in the friendly match against Senegal on June 10.
The winger returned for the last two months of the season after missing three months of play due to a hamstring injury between December and April.
Watkins’ decision to leave the team and head back to England as a precaution due to a minor injury was revealed on Friday.
At this point, it’s unknown if Gallagher’s exclusion is due to a fitness concern.
With victories in their first two games against Latvia and Albania, England is undefeated in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
