
Sciver-Brunt takes lead in the race for the Orange Cap following her spellbinding century against RCB yesterday.
The Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated the top-ranked Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 15 runs in the 16th game of the WPL 2026. Additionally, the Orange Cap and Purple Cap charts showed movement. The lowdown is as follows.
With her 100 versus RCB on Monday, Nat Sciver-Brunt, the orange cap winner from the previous season, soared to the top of the WPL 2026 run scoring statistics. It was the first century in the competition. She has three half-centuries, one tonne, and 319 runs in six innings.
Sciver-Brunt’s teammate and MI captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 20 against RCB, is ranked second on the list with 260 runs. After her single-digit return against MI, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana was still in fourth place with 236 runs. Lizelle Lee of the Delhi Capitals (DC) is ranked fifth with 219 runs, while Phoebe Litchfield of the UP Warriorz (UPW) is ranked third with 243 runs.
With five bowlers taking between 11 and 13 wickets, the list of wicket-takers is becoming competitive. DC seamer Nandani Sharma continues to lead the list with 13 wickets, although Amelia Kerr of MI and Lauren Bell of RCB each took two wickets on Monday, moving them up to 12 and 11 wickets, respectively. Both Gujarat Giants’ Sophie Devine and RCB all-rounder Nadine de Klerk have eleven wickets.
